Swype Beta
I just installed the swype beta, and I have to say that it’s pretty amazing. Swype is a keyboard application that allows you to type by sliding across the letters of the words that you want to type.
It uses some sort of magic prediction algorithm to determine which word you really wanted out of the possible combinations that it could be. This greatly increases typing speed by quickly allowing you to mash a bunch of letters into words.
From what I’ve seen so far, it’s very impressive. In fact, this whole post was written using it. So give it a try, check it out here.
My name is Greg Braman and I am a student of Computer Science at Grand Valley State University.

I had an older version of swype a few months ago, but it expired. I got in on the beta as well, and have been using it for about a week now. I still prefer the hard keyboard on occasion, but swype is much nicer than stock. Now if only I could get my speech to text button back
